Are right wingers becoming liberals?

In most stories, right wingers hate it when our side say how things are complicated, come in many shades of gray, etc. As Bush said “You are either with us or against us”, as if no other positions exist. It seems to me that in general, Right wingers love to reduce the problem to simple [...]

HotAir says that solidarity with America is solidarity with Al Qaeda!

How else can the following post be interpreted?
Well, then try on this one from the headlines–the new Hollywood chic is orange ribbons symbolizing solidarity with Al Qaeda. Or at least those members of Al Qaeda who were dumb enough to find themselves detained in Gitmo. (More here). Surprised? No? Dang.
Terrific spin, but sorry, it’s not [...]

Is it Bush that was saying we don’t torture?

Looks like we officially do now… Maybe we should hire Jack Bauer to run the country, at least he would have (based on the season 7 trailer) the honesty of saying he used torture.
If Bush wanted to torture, then he should have said so. He didn’t need to say we don’t torture people. Why play [...]

Yet another liberal…

From MSNBC:

GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba - The chief of the U.S. military said Sunday he favors closing the prison here as soon as possible because he is concerned that worldwide negative publicity about the treatment of terrorist suspects has tarnished America’s image.
“I’d like to see it shut down,” Adm. Mike Mullen said in an [...]

Fred Thompson has no faith in America

Listen to the part on Gitmo in his debate response. Closing Gitmo and allowing the detainees to come to the US (and using the court system) is seen as ‘liberalism’.
You know what? That Republicans prefer to use land leased from Cuban to circumvent our judicial system is what is sad. Fred and his friends have [...]

Poor Republicans…

It’s a sad day when it appears the Republicans are calling McCain to the rescue!
Is Maverick the only man who can save the GOP from Huckamania? (from HotAir)
Maverick McCain, the one that supported amnesty and that is against torture? Have we fallen THAT low on the republican side?
Honestly, the Republicans have been defending and promoting Bush [...]

First Bush has to go, then the Bush enablers…

Hotair has a post on the possibility that Nanci Pelosi knew about the ongoing torture issues… Let’s start with the ending of the Hotair post:
If you think the Democrats are dishonest and unreliable on matters of war and peace (and a whole lot else), then they are exactly who you think they are.
No wait there. [...]

They knew and did nothing? Nothing?

Michelle Malkin is writing about the news that the CIA destroyed some interrogation tapes. She quotes the following:
Via AP:

Rep. Jane Harman of California, then the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, was one of only four members of Congress in 2003 informed of the tapes’ existence and the CIA’s intention to ultimately destroy them.
“I told [...]

Watch Huckabee’s shift to the center…

This is an extension of the posting I did yesterday. Mike Huckabee, I think, is aiming to reclaim the “non party line” Republicans (those that care about our reputation abroad, those who are willing to raise taxes if necessary, those that are willing to let some illegals get some benefits because it serves a greater [...]

Perfect example of fake news at Fox News…

Hotair recently posted a clip of Laura Ingraham guest hosting for Bill Oreilly.
Laura was “interviewing”  Sunsara Taylor of The World Can’t Wait. She wanted to talk about the reception Alberto Gonzales got at a recent appearance.
So the first loaded question comes at 1:36 — Do leftist activists really believe in free speech or are they [...]
