Facism at Forums.Hannity.com?

Yes, strong word, so let me state my definition first:

2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control <early instances of army fascism and brutality — J. W. Aldridge>

So I guess FireWatch went on a rampage to ban (temporary and permanent) users because they dare criticize Jesse Helms in a thread about [...]

The verdict is in! A user that was partially reprimanded has been banned from Hannity.com

I wrote a post about this earlier. Basically, a user had made a broad and negative assertion towards the troops which had gotten him a partial speech ban. He wasn’t allowed to talk about the military, even remotely.
I thought that this thread would die, but Thabin tried to apologize while keeping his dignity. He wrote:

I [...]

First Sean Hannity, next the affilliates, then the moderators, and now the troops?

This is getting out of hand. We’ve known that Sean Hannity’s love for freedom of speech stops at the doorsteps of his house, but this is getting really crazy:

For his posts in the following thread, I have forbidden him to discuss the military or the troops. I for one will not sit idly by while someone [...]

The weird sound of freedom ringing…

Seriously, when freedom rings at Hannity.com, the ringing sound must pass many tests. If the ringing sound annoys any of Sean’s friends, then the sound is banned.
So we knew that Rush was off limits now that he joined WABC. But here is a funny one:
Can Mayor Bloomberg be attacked?
You would think the answer is a [...]

Funny how it’s the right that enforces PC rules!

I love this. There are some weird PC rules in force on the Hannity forums. Some words cannot be used against other fellow members. Among them, the word liar.
One particular user claimed to have proof that another user was a liar.
And of course one mod said the word liar was off limits:
If you call anyone a [...]

You got to love that ‘freedom ring’

Here is what you can post to get banned from the forums on Hannity.com:

Rush Limbaugh recently stated that he saw no difference between John McCain and Hillary Clinton. He went on to say that if the country is going to go to Hell anyway, it might as well be at hands of a Democrat, and [...]

When facts get in the way

I found this thread quite entertaining. Some new user at the Hannity.com forums saw his thread not approved. So he inquired to the mods about this:

I attempted to post a thread questioning why Sean Hannity lends support to a certain individual. I won’t say his name here, to avoid starting that whole issue. But I [...]

What are friends of Sean Hannity allowed to say in his house?

I always find it funny that there is this rule in the Hannity.com forums that forbids you from saying something you couldn’t say in Sean’s house.
There is this recent thread in the talk to the moderator forums about some random person. During the discussion on that person, one poster (not a mod) said this:
(Just so [...]

Ron Paul supporters attacking Sean Hannity’s site…

There seems to be some kind of ‘attack’ by Ron Paul supporters of the Sean Hannity forums. By attack, I think what is meant is redundant threads being created, using the website to promote the candidate more than to engage in debate, etc.
I have to say if it was my website and suddenly the dynamic [...]

Hannatized, sanitized, childatized…

There seems to be a recurent thread on the hannity.com forums about the use of particular words that are rated ‘R’. Somebody was complaining about the use of different characters to circumvent the profanity filter.
Given the values that Sean Hannity stands for, I would hope that moderators of this board would warn such people to [...]
