The Generals on the ground? The Generals left on the ground!

I love that line that Bush peddles about him listening to the Generals on the ground.
It seems dissent only gets you dismissed!
Everyone in the blogosphere’s going to be linking this Thomas P.M. Barnett profile in Esquire published just last week suggesting that Fallon’s the only thing standing between the U.S. and war with Iran, and [...]

Republican double speak: selective personal responsibility

Contrast two HotAir stories. One about a young woman getting drunk to the point of dying and one about telecom companies requesting immunity from lawsuits.
In the first case (I blogged about it here), HotAir was saying how allowing the mom of that woman to sue her friends (who participated in the binge drinking) would reduce [...]

Real life is not a black and white TV show…

HotAir is complaining that the US government is giving money to the Palestinian Authority.
It’s the triple play trio of terror. Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, a stalwart warrior on free speech in the face of threats to her own freedom, lays out the case.
For the first time, the Bush Administration plans to give $150 million in cash [...]

We should still worry about conservatives…

I think Michelle is very correct in thinking that now is not the time to roll over…
“Quo vadis,” conservatives? It’s the ancient, apocryphal question the apostle Peter asked Jesus while fleeing persecution in Rome. Where are you going? Where do we go from here?
The contest for the GOP presidential nomination is over. The conservative movement [...]

Is it Bush that was saying we don’t torture?

Looks like we officially do now… Maybe we should hire Jack Bauer to run the country, at least he would have (based on the season 7 trailer) the honesty of saying he used torture.
If Bush wanted to torture, then he should have said so. He didn’t need to say we don’t torture people. Why play [...]

I told you Huckabee was aiming for the Ron Paul vote…

Clearly the dissing of the Bush administration falls squarely within that effort. Huckabee will soon be attracting all the homeless Republicans and you will see him rise to the top! I think this really seals the deal for Ron Paul.

You can be named and still be a coward…

As most of you know, I blog under the name ‘AnonymousCoward’ for many reasons explained in my About. Anyways, the Bush administration still can’t come clean about the Valerie Plame affair:
What did Perino say in the gaggle? The Washington Post reports Perino found another convenient excuseto punt on answering about the White House’s involvement in [...]

First Bush has to go, then the Bush enablers…

Hotair has a post on the possibility that Nanci Pelosi knew about the ongoing torture issues… Let’s start with the ending of the Hotair post:
If you think the Democrats are dishonest and unreliable on matters of war and peace (and a whole lot else), then they are exactly who you think they are.
No wait there. [...]

It’s not the deficit that is going down, it’s the national debt…

I love it when people mention the ’shrinking’ deficit as an accomplishment of the Bush administration.
Two things. First, during the Clinton administration with the help of the Republican congress, those deficits were surpluses. Bush created HUGE deficits in his first years in office, and, having set the bar so low, is moving up from there. [...]

Don’t even try to blame the messenger…

I personnally have no love for Karen Hughes (she is partially responsible for bringing us G.W. Bush, how can we forgive her), but to tell her DLTDHYOTWO (don’t let the door hit you on the way out) is really unfair…
She was put in an impossible position. Actions speak louder than words. In her case, her words, whatever [...]
