Too bad Michelle did not answer her own question…

Michelle Malkin posted a few pictures on her website. All of them show some US official bridging some cultural gap. When you travel around the world, does it always have to be jeans, snickers, Starbucks and McDonald’s? I hope not.

Anyways, you can see the pictures here. But here is the most interesting part. Michelle asks this question:

Which [picture] bothers you the most?

Is that a serious question? Why would you be bothered by any of these pictures? At best, I can see why some picture trouble me. For example, take this one:

Laura Bush

It bothers me that there are some women are forced to wear such a veil (if you call it as such). That Laura Bush is in the picture is irrelevant. I am actually happy Laura is there. It helps bring to light these types of practices. From there we can have a debate on whether it’s forced, etc.

Anyways the sad part is that if you read the comments on her website, some people are seriously bothered by some of these pictures. If Obama or Bush go visit some foreign country and try some of the local customs, you should be proud that they are showing to the world how open minded we are. They make great ambassadors. I am not saying they should go and watch a public execution of reporter, and these pictures are far from that.

Which leads me to ask, which picture is Michelle bothered by? If she was the President/Senator/Congresswoman/Etc send over there, what would she have said to her hosts?

I’m not sure I really want to know…
